We Build Character has partnered with Challenge Detroit to provide an experiential model of leadership mentoring to all college graduates participating in the one year program. Challenge Detroit will select 30 innovative leaders from throughout the United States to live, work, play and give in Detroit. Participants will live in Detroit, supported by a $500-a-month housing stipend as well as:
- Receive a $30,000 salary to work at one of the top companies in the region;
- Experience the city through organized social and cultural events;
- Participate in monthly team challenges, in partnership with area non-profits, designed to positively impact the city and region.
We Build Character’s Young Professionals Mentoring Program will include bringing together mentors and executive sponsors who will work one on one with the Challenge Detroit participants over the course of the year. The program will include a complete leadership curriculum with assignments delivered through a virtual delivery mechanism used to facilitate and accommodate the hectic schedules of the program participants.
